Wildland Fire Training

Embersafe provides the full suite of Industry training required under Ontario's Forest Fires Prevention Act, Crown Forest Sustainability Act and associated industrial operations protocols. Courses offered include SP102 for Forest industry personnel, SP103 for Municipal Fire Departments and SP105 and 106 required for all other industries working in the Forest during Ontario's Forest Fire season (April 1- Oct.31st).

All courses are based on MNRF approved firefighter training modules and are delivered in a quality, "2 instructor format" that ensures students benefit from the full range of Embersafe's deep experience in all aspects of forest fire management and operations.

Individual courses vary in length but all include both classroom and field instruction. In the class participants gain knowledge critical to ensuring safe and effective conduct around wildland fires and also how to best integrate efforts with professional wildfire responders.

The field portion provides demonstration and real hands on experience in how to make best use of available equipment to provide a safe initial response to a wildland fire.

After successful course completion, recognized certification is maintained through a practical refresher after two years and reinstruction after four years.
